Doug Delaney
DI Colorist
Doug Delaney started his post-production career after moving from his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri to Los Angeles in 1995. He began by scanning and recording film for features at Digital Magic before doing the same at Dream Quest Images along with film timing for visual effect plates.
It was Doug’s move to Pacific Title where he supervised the film imaging division that shifted into beginning his colorist career. There, Doug began to beta test an early DI color correction platform and by 2002 he had embarked on grading numerous feature titles. It was during this time that Doug became known as an early adopter of the latest DI color correction tools that he used on films such as Matrix: Revolutions. He continued to build his reputation as an established name in coloring during his years at Post Logic/Prime Focus Studios from 2006-2010. Most recently, Doug showcased his command of HD mastering, VFX and color timing at iO Film, where he re-mastered the extended version of Francis Ford Coppola’s 1979 war epic Apocalypse Now Redux.
Doug is called upon for his range of experience in all facets of the DI process as a contributing member of the technology committee for the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC.) An avid tennis player, Doug also loves biking and seeking out what he considers the best parts of life - great food, wine and conversation.
