Bob Festa is among the most accomplished colorists in post production. His credits include virtually all of the world’s best known brands and some of the best commercial advertising ever created - from the original Levis 501 Blues campaign, to today’s digital acquisition projects. Along the way, he has worked with some of the industry’s finest directors including Leslie Dektor, Joe Pytka, Bob Giraldi, Alexander Paul and Jeff Zwart. Festa has developed many of the contemporary color tools and mentored many young artists who have gone onto careers as successful colorists.

Festa is a four time ITS Monitor Award finalist and received Da Vinci’s Master Colorist Award in 2004 as the best Commercial Colorist of the Year.

A native of Southern California, Festa has a Masters Degree in Public Communications from Pepperdine University in Malibu. He received his start with CFI/Glen Glenn Sound and honed his color artist skills at Deluxe Laboratories, Action Video, Editel Los Angeles, Complete Post, Hollywood Digital and 11 years at R!OT Santa Monica.

Bob recently opened New Hat, LLC a non-linear DI color studio. The state of the art facility uses the most contemporary color tools, and is located in the heart of Santa Monica. When he is not coloring spots, Festa enjoys yacht racing. He competes frequently in the Los Angeles area regatta circuit.
